Campaign Statement

Ron Bich is looking to join the RMOUG Board of Directors to help in directing the organization using new technology to improve member benefits and grow membership.  Having previously served 13 consecutive years on RMOUG’s Board of Directors I consider it an honor to rejoin this volunteer team in moving forward in today’s ever changing technological environment.

Qualifications and Biography

Starting my career in 1990 in IT and moving into the realm of relational databases and Oracle in 1995 my experience in this realm has continued to grow.    Spending 13 years on RMOUG’s Board of Directors has enlightened me on the dynamics of supporting a volunteer organization.   I have supported this group through my volunteer efforts since the turn of the century through my stand alone volunteer work and work accomplished on the Board in prior years.   Keeping up with all the new technology in today’s world is a major effort and throughout the years I truly believe RMOUG has helped many members do just that.    My efforts in the past have helped with that effort and I am hoping they can help again with that effort moving forward.

Campaign Statement

My first exposure to RMOUG came in 2013. I was immediately impressed by the level of information provided to the attendees and have found great value in my daily work efforts. During my interaction with RMOUG, I was asked to join the board in 2013 and 2014, where I helped with expanding RMOUG’s reach via social media.

Since I’ve left Oracle, I’ve been looking for opportunities to be more involved in the regional groups and helped the user group and presenters engage with a broader audience; both regionally and globally. I hope to participate and grow the networking opportunities that RMOUG provides and continue to make RMOUG the best regional user group around!

My organizational, budgeting, communication, motivational, and focus skills lead to success in whatever my mind is put to. I want to bring these skills at the Board level and actively participate to ensure the long-term success of the RMOUG community. Additionally, I do not believe much in the phrase "This is how we have always done it" and look for unique and out-of-the-box solutions. I seek your support in reelection. Thank you.

Campaign Statement

Back in the dark recesses of history (like twenty years ago) professional user groups were one of the best sources of new software and information on how to use the software. Other distribution and communication channels have superseded those roles, but user groups are still one of the best ways to understand and filter the flood of information. RMOUG provides opportunities to network with peers and hears expert presentations to keep informed and up to date.

RMOUG has a long history of delivering high-quality conferences, quarterly meetings, publications, and other member-focused information. I look forward to contributing to the direction and execution of the organization.

Qualifications and Biography

Please consider my self-nomination for the RMOUG Board of Directors for the coming fiscal year. I offer many years of Oracle-centered professional experience plus web-based application design and development, project management, and organizational leadership. I have served RMOUG in roles ranging from a board member, conference attendee to the conference chair, to Treasurer and Secretary. Other user group involvement has included board member and officer for the Oracle Development Users Group (ODTUG) and the Oracle User Group Council.

Tim Mishek

Campaign Statement

Before the year 2000 and the infamous Y2K in 1999, I attended my first training days in February of that year.  My recollection was one of absolute amazement and overjoy that there were so many individuals with a passion for the same things I so enjoyed.  It was an amazing experience encouraging me to prepare a training days session for myself.  It took me a few years but actually did my first session in 2004.  After that experience, I have since presented at twelve training days covering topics from DBA essentials to cloud technologies.

It has been a pleasure working with the RMOUG board preparing sessions and learning from the top talent in the industry.  I feel it is important to see that this organization continues prosper for many years to come. With the challenges of COVID-19, I was truly impressed with the virtual training days this past February. Even with the remote sessions, I was able to attend some to the best presenters and learn an incredible amount.  It was a pleasure for me to co-present as well.

I would really appreciate the opportunity to serve on any capacity needed to support RMOUG.
